The Pokémon Company

An absolute titan from the early EX Series, this Ampharos ex 89/97 represents the golden era of vintage ultra rares, featuring Ryo Ueda's stunning 3D CGI illustration that revolutionized the visual standard of the Pokémon TCG. Introduced in the early 2000s, Pokémon-ex defined an entire generation of competitive play and set a legendary benchmark with their iconic silver-bordered holofoil treatments, high hit points, and game-changing attacks. Today, vintage EX-era Ultra Rares are notoriously elusive in high grades due to their fragile foil borders and heavy playground use, making clean copies true treasures for serious collectors. Encapsulated and certified by AiGrading, this magnificent slab achieves a strong overall grade of 9 Mint. The card showcases outstanding structural preservation, headlined by a impressive sweep of perfect 10 sub-grades on front edges, front corners, and front centering. With its striking cosmos holofoil pattern and formidable presence, vintage EX cards like this Ampharos remain among the most revered grail cards in TCG history. A cornerstone addition for high-end vintage collectors and Electric-type completionists seeking top-tier EX Series excellence.
