The LEGO Group

58 x 37.5 x 10 cm

Behind its colourful façades, this 2,238-piece modular with 6 minifigures combines a pool hall, a barber’s shop and private detective Ace Brickman’s office. The setting recalls an old-fashioned detective film, but LEGO gives the crime a comic twist: the contraband is cookies.

Hidden routes allow the treats to travel through the building, while the detective searches for clues nearby. Discovering how these passages fit around the everyday businesses is part of the build’s appeal. Retired in 2018, Detective’s Office brings a particularly inventive blend of architecture and storytelling to the Modular Buildings collection, with secrets that a finished street view never reveals.
