Superman’s cinematic and comic-book worlds meet in this pairing of two retired DC sets. Black Zero Escape draws on Man of Steel, bringing Superman, Lois Lane and General Zod together around a Kryptonian escape pod. Brainiac Attack expands the cast to the Justice League, with Superman, Supergirl and Martian Manhunter confronting Brainiac’s skull-shaped spacecraft.

The minifigures give this lot particular appeal: Brainiac Attack introduced new Supergirl and Brainiac designs exclusive to that set at release, while Black Zero Escape contributes the film’s interpretation of Lois Lane. Together, the two boxes offer different versions of Superman alongside allies and enemies from across his screen and comic-book adventures.

Included sets: 76009 Superman: Black Zero Escape — 153 pieces, 3 minifigures (26 x 19 x 4.4 cm), 76040 Brainiac Attack — 161 pieces, 4 minifigures (19 x 26 x 6 cm).
