Every railway needs somewhere for its locomotives to rest. Created by fan designer Mind_the_Brick, Old Train Engine Shed brings that often–overlooked side of railway life into focus, with textured brick walls, tall windows and large doors framing the entrance to the workshop.

Released through Series 1 of the BrickLink Designer Program, the model reached its maximum allocation of 30,000 copies during crowdfunding. Its appeal combines that limited production with a subject seldom given such attention in LEGO railway collections. The shed provides a setting for the trains themselves, turning a stretch of track into a working depot with its own architectural character.
