Porcelain cup and saucer, 1804-1805

6.1 x 6 cm cup and 13.5 x 2.6 x 10 cm plate
litron shape with squared rectangular handle, high edged dish with lowered bottom. Cup decorated on the body with 2 sacrificial Erotes on a tripod and with tails of fantastic animals; continuous band finishes at the base and at the edge of the cup in gold. Plate with annular decoration in pure gold at the bottom which acts as a reserve for a central sunburst.  Along the brim 3 gold squares with white flower separating 3 a  grotesque-style naturalistic motifs. At the base of the plate and the cup engraved in the paste, date of manufacture and modeller. In underglaze blue hallmark of the Imperial Vienna manufacturer under Sorgenthal
