Acrylic and chalk on canvas

"Federico Arcuri's research focuses on an investigation of urban spaces, architecture and people in transit, which the artist photographs in order to translate them into a pictorial final cut in which the lines of the buildings, and the routes, from familiar places become impersonal accumulations, feed-backs that re-propose a new tension of memory tending to reformulate and differently intend the relationship between the individual-environment-metropolis. While the spaces are clearly those of the city of Milan, in Arcuri's conceptual reinterpretation they become universal spaces, perhaps dreamlike spaces, certainly utopian spaces.
And the encounters are appointments to get lost (...).
It is easy to get carried away in this increasingly pale and undefined world, where reality, possibility and fiction are interchangeable. The result is not so much browsing through the sum of many interdependent stories, but venturing into a single story."(Martina Cavallarin)
