The Icaro Rodi manufacture was founded in 1928 in Rhodes when the Aegean islands were placed under the “Italian Protectorate” after the Italian-Turkish war. The ceramic industry was directed by potters from Faenza who drew inspiration from Greek and Turkish ceramic traditions.
