        	Format in-4ยฐ, mm. 230x170, (4), 635, (9) + 6 copperplate plates. Complete. Contemporary full parchment binding with mute spine. Sprayed edges on the leaves, present manuscript title (faded) on the lower edge. Frontispiece with copperplate portrait of the Author (signed Andrea Maillar), with small losses and defects in the margins and some small stains on the back. Frontispiece printed in red and black with typographic device. Latin text in two columns with numerous woodcut headers, initials and endpieces. Copy with the spine cut in half from the inside on p. 264. Slight foxing and some browning on the leaves. Notes, underlining, corrections and erasures in old ink in the text. Old eighteenth-century edition printed in 1732 with all the works of Giorgio Baglivi (1668-1707), physician to Innocent XII and his successor Clement XI. In 1696 (or 1695) he was entrusted with teaching surgery and anatomy at the Sapienza University of Rome, where, in 1700, he held the chair of theoretical medicine.
