                    Literature:
Edwards and Roberts were among the most renowned English cabinet makers specializing in antique furniture during the latter half of the 18th century. Established in 1845, the company began operating under the name "Edwards and Roberts" by 1854 at 21 Wardour Street, where they were known as "Antique and Modern Cabinet Makers and Importers of Ancient Furniture." They gained a reputation as one of London’s leading cabinet makers and retailers, producing finely crafted furniture and high-quality reproductions of 18th- and 19th-century English and French pieces. Their work often featured satinwood marquetry and reflected a preference for Georgian-style designs. Additionally, they were recognized for restoring and modifying antique furniture to better align with contemporary needs. The materials they used were of the highest quality, including exquisite burr walnut, beautifully grained mahogany, and elegant satinwood in lighter shades.
