Royal Coat of Arms of Tsarist Imperial Russia, period second half of the 19th century, 1856 until 1917, under Tsars Alexander II, Alexander III and Nicholas II. Splendid high-relief work on a metal plate, applied to wood. The double-headed eagle with outstretched wings and two small crowns surmounting its heads holds an orb and a scepter in its talons. On its breast is a shield with Saint George slaying the dragon, around its neck is the collar of Saint Andrew, and on its wings are the shields of the territories and dynasties of the Russian Empire. Measures approximately 29 cm in diameter and is in excellent condition.
