A pair of sterling silver vases, France, 18th century
Height x width x depth: 9.5 x 13 x 11.5 cm. Total weight: 890 g.
with a lobed upper rim and rests on a moulded base. The side handles are decorated with floral scrolls. The most notable feature is the central engraving of a heraldic coat of arms on both objects, indicating a probable noble or historical origin.
Sterling silver 950/1000, hallmarked with the marks in use in Paris from 1727 to 1732.
