A Kazak long rug, Caucasus, 1880 circa

This Kazak long rug displays in the center field a classical pattern of the Karachioph Kazak with white background rectangolar cartouches alternating with red polygons, surrounded by small motifs, as for some stilized animals. The border is dominated by a Zig-Zag-pattern that is usually associated with Bordjalou Kazak types.
Traces of usage, some repilings, small repairs.
