Art Deco carpet, China, 1920 circa

The mainly open field is decorated with few pattern elements, a circular medallion composed of flowers and “shou” and bat motifs within the edges. The same ornaments, “Shou” and bats, symbols of good luck and fortune are the only ornaments chosen, to decorate the large beige background main border.
Very well preserved.
