Table-top pendulum clock in gilded and patinated bronze, Restoration period (Charles X), France, 19th century

Height x width x depth: 35 x 22 x 12 cm
finely chiseled and gilded, with dark-patinated bronze elements. The front is decorated with a figurative frieze featuring a cherub and a pastoral scene, while the body, supported by legs with pinnacle finials, features star-shaped appliqués and musical trophies on the sides. Topped by a naturalistic decorative element depicting a stylized flower with patinated bronze leaves and a gilded, openwork bronze corolla. White enamel dial with Roman numerals. French-made hand-wound mechanical movement with bell chime, numbered and bearing the “Médaille d'argent-Honneur” medal, indicating that it was awarded at industrial exhibitions in the first half of the 19th century.
