An important neoclassical composition by Giovanni Zoffoli and his brother Giacomo, who were active in producing collectible bronzes for the Grand Tour; they distinguished themselves for the elegance of their designs and their neoclassical influence, as can be seen in this sculptural group depicting Apollo, the god of the arts, guided by the centaur. Refined casting quality and a warm patina. Signed on the back “G. Zoffoli F.”.
