Literature:
Alberto Zucchetta (Venice, 1938)

Master goldsmith, medallist and sculptor active in Verona.
Trained within the Italian artisanal tradition of the post-war period, he established his own workshop in the 1960s, developing a body of work distinguished by outstanding technical skill and direct control over the entire production process.
He primarily creates unique pieces—jewellery, medals and small-scale sculptures in precious metals—characterised by a language that combines formal rigour with symbolic research.
His work is defined by the use of traditional techniques (chasing, repoussé, engraving), alongside a strong interest in geometry, historical iconography and the reinterpretation of medieval and Renaissance models in a contemporary key.
A representative figure of contemporary Italian artistic goldsmithing, he operates outside serial production, favouring a conception of jewellery as an autonomous work of art.
