An elegant Jian ceremonial sword. China, Qing Dynasty (1644-1912), 19th century.

Height 97 cm

Triangular blades with a flat base; solid brass mounts, hilt with a raised dragon's head, pommel chiseled with floral motifs, and dark green rayskin grip. Fine wood scabbard covered in green rayskin and featuring partially pierced and chiseled octal mounts. Two suspension rings.
