SCHREIBER MILANO
18-karat yellow gold parure, comprising a necklace, a pair of earrings and a ring, Milan, probably dating from the 1970s–1980s
In 18k yellow gold.
The necklace is composed of a regular sequence of stylised floral elements, each formed by six domed petals arranged around a circular centre. The motifs are connected by small links and terminate in a lobster-claw clasp.
The earrings, fitted with lever-back hooks, feature a three-dimensional star-shaped design with smooth, polished surfaces and a folded geometric motif applied to the front.
The band ring has a sculptural upper section composed of overlapping and interlaced ribbon-like elements, modelled in an elegant three-dimensional design.
The jewels bear the 750/1000 gold fineness mark and the Milanese maker’s identification mark * 545 MI, attributable to the Tradico Silvio workshop.
Each piece is accompanied by a fitted case bearing the inscription “Schreiber Milano”.
The presence of the Schreiber cases, together with comparisons with other documented Schreiber jewels bearing the same maker’s mark, makes it plausible that the parure was produced by the Tradico Silvio workshop for the Milanese jewellery house.
