Italian solid silver mug, mid-20th Century

Height x diameter: 10.5 x 7.5 cm. Weight: 219 g
slightly truncated conical in shape, with an outward-curving, moulded upper rim. It rests on a broad, solid, stepped circular base. The interior of the bowl is made entirely of vermeil. On the front of the body, a heraldic coat of arms depicting a rampant lion resting on a burrelet is finely engraved with a burin.

800/1000 silver, hallmarked "800 – 110 MI", silversmith Ganci Carmelo, Milan.
