Height x width x depth: 5.5 x 7 x 5 cm. Weight: 117.5 g
crafted using repoussé and chiselling techniques, with a slip-on lid, characterised by intricate workmanship. The box features an elegant octagonal shape with rounded corners. The object is richly decorated in high relief with a motif of acanthus scrolls, volutes and dense foliage in repoussé. On the outer base there is an intricate engraving depicting a frieze of plant scrolls surmounted by characters in the Burmese alphabet.
