September 27, 1862 - Letter from Naples to Civitavecchia, traveled by sea, franked at 40 cents via 15 cents lithographic II type + 5 cents DLR + 15 cents DLR. The 15 cents was not cancelled because it was no longer valid, but was still counted and the postage considered complete. Upon arrival, the letter was taxed at 12 bajocchi, owed to the papal administration.
