Oil and acrylic on canvas

Miriam Moroni is a painter born in Venice in 1997. She began painting in Professor Taormina's studio at the Accademia di Belle Arti in Venice and graduated in painting in the summer of 2020.
In 2022, she was selected at the Premio Mestre painting competition (Ve) and was among the finalists, receiving a special mention from the technical jury.

Her artistic research attempts to make two completely different fields, painting and marine biology, interact and communicate.
Painting as a means of highlighting the microscopic world of algae and microalgae in the land and waters of his city, Venice. Moroni's work investigates nature: the lagoon, its life and the city that has populated it for hundreds of years and is now part of its ecosystem. A reflection linked to the theme of water pollution and its mutation, but not only: to re-emerge and float is the stratification of lived images, of memories that from memory are fixed on the canvas.
