Giorgios Papaevangeliou is an Italian architect and artist. He graduated in Architecture in 2007. His drawings represent a place where dialogue with reality, with construction, can dilate, expand beyond the limits of the physical. His lines construct spatial concepts, be they notes or questions, placed in white space to find new ones. These are walls, curtains and beams of light that cover everything enclosed within: the protection of a sacred, clean space, within which one can retreat to continue producing.

In 2019, at the Urban Center in Spoleto, he inaugurated his first solo exhibition Segni esitanti curated by Fabio Fabiani and Mario Pisani. Two further solo exhibitions will open in 2023. A selection of his handwritten drawings is present in the fonds of the Architecture Archive of the Library of the Polytechnic School of the University of Genoa. Since 2021, he has been part of the project to recover Sardinian Mustras craftsmanship, for which he designs carpets, tapestries and other design objects made using traditional techniques.
