Italian silver sugar bowl, Venice, 1812-1872
Height x diameter: 16.5 x 11 cm. Weight 309 g.
egg-shaped body resting on three feet, strongly domed lid with pinecone-shaped final. 800/1000 silver, hallmarked with the marks in use in Venice, Lombardy-Venetia (Acrostolio or stern ornament of arched shape with a circular part from which four axes bend to the right in a free profile field) in use between 1812 and 1872, unidentified silversmith.
Item condition grading: **** good, minor signs of use commensurate with use over time.
