An English Georgian mahogany Bracket Clock, 18th century
Height x width x depth: 52 x 29 x 19 cm.
broken-arch mahogany case with carrying handle, brass framed front door and bracket fee. Gilt dial with Roman numerals and black hands signed Rivers & Son - Cornhill - London with calendar aperture, the arch with a strike/silent dial. Movement with pendulum regulator and hour and half-hour chime on bell signed Rivers & Son - Cornhill - London, the backplate with stylised leaf border and foliate corners.
Rivers & Son worked at Cornhill, London between 1782 and 1815 and were successors to Daniel De St. Leu.
