This refined bronze depicts a woman dressed with a long draped robe gathered over her right arm, in the fashion of Roman matrons. The hair is gathered with a ribbon and falls with a lock on the right shoulder. It is probability Charity, one of the Theological Virtues, whose distinctive sign is a burning heart held high in the hand. Given the small dimensions it could be a bronze coin holder, perhaps from Padua, dating back to the 17th-18th centuries.
