The sculpture repeats the style of the Lorraine baroque sculptor Cèsar Bagard. Some versions in carved wood with small variations in the drapery are known.
It preserves extraordinary gilding, probably by fire, and a goldsmith's chisel in all its parts. Rare and of great impact.
