Porcelain centerpiece stand,, Vienna, 19th century

27 x 17 x 8.5 cm

Oval basket-shaped with double ruff. Rectangular base on which rests a pair of invented fish that support the perforated basket. Decoration of the base in cobalt blue with floral finishes in pure gold. Fish in pure gold. Basket in pure gold and blue with geometric and palmette finishes in dotted gold.
Condition: small defects at the base of the basket and on the tails of the fish; two craquelures  cooking inside the basket. Wear in the gilding as a result of use over time.
