Ivory table clock, France, circa 1820

        Carved elephant ivory case (Elephas maximus Linnaeus, 1758 or Loxodonta africana Blumenbach, 1797) decorated with floral festoons on the front and back (set with marcasites); in the centre the watch with a dial painted with blue and yellow enamels, Roman numerals and winding hole, bearing the inscription 'Meuson Comp'. Verga movement key wind and key set signed Breguet in Paris, no. 5567.
Item condition grading: **** good.
The case of the clock is in a good state of preservation with the normal wear and defects commensurate with its age and use over time.
The watch movement is currently working but may requires a technical service.
