Karen Thomas uses a variety of techniques and materials to explore the multifaceted facets of the human condition. Her work is characterised by a fusion of abstraction and figuration, reflecting personal experiences and observation of the world around us. Thomas has developed a distinctive language, inspired by nature and social interactions. His artistic research focuses on the rendering of emotions and memories, using colour and form to evoke feelings and engage the viewer in an ongoing dialogue with the work.
