First edition of Gabor's socio-scientific essay on the future of Humanity: it is no coincidence that the work is dedicated to the memory of the writer Aldous Huxley, who had recently passed away when the book was published. Dennis Gabor (1900-1979) was the inventor of the laser-based photographic technique called HOLOGRAPHY, which earned him the Nobel Prize for Physics in 1971. Copy with autograph dedication by the author in Italian: Gabor, in fact, appreciated Italy and loved spending long vacations on the southern coast of Rome. The volume is accompanied by 2 rare holographic photographs developed in 1970-71 at the McDonnell Douglas Electronic Company facilities using the pioneering use of lasers.
