Illustrated Astrological Treatise, early 17th century. Original edition of this little-known but much sought-after work by the German theologian C. Pezel (1539-1604), published posthumously. With a calc. frontispiece and engravings in the text depicting some zodiacal diagrams necessary to calculate the celestial influences on the predestination of human lives, an aspect that reveals the origins of Pezel's studies, which he developed around Melanchthon's theories.
