George III sterling silver 'coffee biggin' or coffee pot on paw footed stand with burner, so called because of the use of the burner; biggins originally being camp fire pots.
The loop handle is made of elephant ivory (Elephas maximus Linnaeus, 1758 or Loxodonta africana Blumenbach, 1797).

Coffe pot:
Fully hallmarked with the marks used in London in 1802-03 and bearing the mark of the silversmith John Emes.
Burner:
Fully hallmarked with the marks used in London in 1803-04, and bearing the mark of the silversmith John Edington.
