Lynn Davis highlights her ability to transform the landscape into an almost mystical experience. The quote "The world does not look like my pictures" suggests a distance between reality and its artistic interpretation, as if her images were a sort of visual meditation rather than simple documentation

The influence of Berenice Abbott is probably reflected in the compositional precision and attention to light, but Davis develops a personal language that transcends simple representation, leading to a reflection on the grandeur of nature and the role of man in front of it. The use of black and white helps to create a sense of timelessness and abstraction, distancing her images from reportage and bringing them closer to a contemplative and symbolic dimension
