Etching and aquatint, 215 x 147 mm (plate), 317 x 237 mm (sheet). Plate no. 54 from the series "Los Caprichos". State IV of 12 (1878). Delteil 91, Harris 89.
Very fine, fresh impression on modern laid paper. Double collector's mark of the Achenbach Foundation for Graphic Arts on the back (Lugt 3a and 5069). Uniformly browned sheet, with a small stain on the lower right of the plate edge and stains on the margins. Blind stamp of the Libreria Prandi di Reggio on the lower right. Upper corners missing. Applied along the upper margin to the modern passe-partout.
