Medea Mei Figner (1859โ1952) was a renowned Italian soprano and mezzo-soprano. She began her career at a young age and achieved international success, performing at prestigious theaters like the Solรญs Theatre and the Mariinsky Theatre in St. Petersburg. She married tenor Nicolaj Figner, and they became a famous artistic couple, performing together in works by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, such as The Queen of Spades and Iolanta. After their divorce, she continued her performances and later settled in Paris, where she lived until her death. She also wrote an autobiography.
