Kikuchi Hōbun (菊池 芳文 1862-1918), painting, ink on paper. Kikuchi Hōbun was one of the four leading painters of Kyoto at the end of the 19th century and founders of the modern Kyoto school. Recurring themes in his work are landscapes and birds and flowers paintings in the traditional style.
