閻羅王, Yánluó Wáng Yen-lo-wang, lit. ‘the Yanluo king’ is a Chinese divinity of Buddhist origin. Its origin is probably a derivation of the Hindu divinity Yama, first mentioned in the Vedas God of death who reigns over both heaven and hell, called Nakara and located underground to the south of our world.
