A pair of French solid silver salt cellars, Paris, 19th century

Height x width x depth: 14 x 15 x 9 cm. Total weight: 395 g.
Composed of two oval basins resting on four claw feet and adorned with handles in the shape of female figures, probably Bacchantes, each holding respectively a flute and a cup and wine bottle.

Hallmarked with the French guarantee marks for silver of the first standard (950/1000), used in Paris after 1838.
