Bronze bust of Christ, Italy, 19th-20th century

Height x width x depth: 18.5 x 11.5 x 8 cm. Weight: 1078.5 g.
made using the fusion technique with great care in anatomical definition and expressive details. The work shows Jesus from the top of his head to his private parts, without his arms. The head is inclined towards the right shoulder, with eyes closed, according to the iconography of the Christus patiens. The facial features are intense: the beard and hair are curly, while the torso is muscular, realistically sculpted. A monogram with the letter โ€œTโ€ is engraved on the right side of the bust, probably an artist's signature or a workshop mark.
