French solid silver cruet, Paris, 1776

Height x width x depth: 20 x 29 x 12 cm. Total gross weight: approx. 1540 g. Net weight of silver: 710 g. approx.
oval in shape, resting on four feet decorated with stylized vegetal motifs. The glass bottle, probably not coeval, are fitted with two stoppers adorned with fluting and finials shaped like a vine and an acorn.

Hallmarked with French hallmarks used in Paris in 1776, fermier Jean Baptiste Fouache, silversmith Louis-Emmanuel Gabriel, active from  24 july 1773.
