Gold snuffbox, Neuchatel XVIII-XIX secolo

Height x width x depth: 3 x 8.8 x 3.7 cm. Weight: 93 g.
rectangular, 14k yellow gold, with hinged lid, finely engraved with floral decoration; on the lid a hunting scene with deer, hare and dog.

Stamped on the inside 14 CMWS - and a symbol most probably belonging to a goldsmith from the Swiss canton of Neuchatel and on the hinged edge of the lid 1504.
Verified with XRF spectrometer is guaranteed to be gold at the approximate fineness of 580 ‰ (ca. 14 K)
