Italian solid silver plaque depicting the Virgin and the Child, 19th century

Height x width x depth theca: 27 x 17 x 5 cm. Total weight with showcase: 805 g.
The scene seems reminiscent of the Ascension of the Virgin as she rises into the clouds with the adoration of the figures below. However, in the upper part the Virgin is present with the figure of the Child, caught in movement, with a blessing right arm.
Set in white wooden frame.
