One ladle bears an oval mark with the number “3” crowned in the centre, surrounded by the embossed inscription: “62 MAG BRI ...”, an abbreviation of Magnae Britanniae (Great Britain). On the other side, a male figure appears in profile, surrounded by the legend “GEORGIUS III DEI GRATIA”, indicative of the reign of George III of England (George III, by the Grace of God), sovereign from 1760 to 1820.
