solid silver Indian sugar bowl, 19th century

Height x width x depth: 10x15x10 cm. Weight: 242 gr.
circular in shape, supported by four richly ornamented feline paw-shaped feet. The body, convex in the central part, tapers upwards ending in a narrow neck and a flared, shaped rim. At the sides are two handles carved in the shape of animals, embellished with decorative scrolls. The entire surface is finely engraved by burin, with a rich decoration of foliate volutes and floral elements.
