rare pair of Baroque monstrances in carved, gilded and painted wood, richly decorated with figures of cherubs and cherubs in high relief. In center, hexagonal niche for relic or devotional object, supported by a centrally positioned putto. Shaped tripartite base decorated with scrolls and rocaille motifs.On the back is an ancient red wax seal with a heraldic coat of arms, likely traceable to an important noble family or ecclesiastical institution.
The two pieces are distinguished by slight variations in decoration and coloring, a sign of craftsmanship.
