rare and striking rosewood carillon cabinet depicting the life of Napoleon Bonaparte. The scene in the picture is theatrical and animated by carved figures: the Emperor lies on a funeral bed covered with black drapes decorated in gold, guarded by a uniformed guard with a rifle.
