Bracelets are traditionally among the most widely used and popular pieces of jewellery in Morocco. Moroccan women love to wear elegant, finely decorated bracelets. Ethnic bracelets for men are usually made entirely of silver, are less than a centimetre wide and feature simple, tribal decorations. Women's bracelets, on the other hand, are not afraid to be bold in terms of size, colour and complexity of decoration, confident in the taste of a thousand-year-old tradition. The preferred base is silver, which is almost always embellished with coloured stones, more or less precious, or carved with holes or decorated with geometric patterns and cuts.
