Roma Eterna gold brooch, 19th century
made of yellow gold, features details and decorations typical of the mid-19th century period, with influences from the return of Etruscan art, visible in the three-dimensional relief motif with cordonetto and granulation work on the front surface of the brooch. A domed round profile with a flower motif adds dimension to the centre. Framed by a composition of leaves, tendrils and bunches of grapes. In the centre is the inscription ROMA ETERNA.
Dimensions: 4.8 x 4.8 x 1 cm. Weight: 17.5 g.
