D'Annunzio, Gabriele - Lettera e raccoglitore, a Pasquinelli, 1930
A two-sheet letter bearing the motto IMMOTUS NEC INERS, with envelope having the sealing wax seal of the Prince of Montenevoso, addressed to Francesco Pasquinelli.
Letter in black ink, with a double autograph signature on both the envelope and the bottom of the letter. Dated September 26, 1930
The letter reads, "My dear Francesco, I receive the two velvets, and with one of them a deep fire enters the Vittoriale, not unlike my own. Thank you. I place my most beautiful medals in the velvet. I send you the new portrait, with the same dedication - so justly deserved. But I beg you to trust me, that I always keep my friendly promises. The thing, certainly, will be done. I embrace you - Yours -Gabriele d'Annunzio."
Along with the letter is an elegant leather binder bearing the signature GABRIELE D'ANNUNZIO, stamped in cursive gold-plated letters on the cover. The binder was used by Francesco Pasquinelli to store the correspondence received from the Poet over the years. In good condition, measures approximately 39.5 x 32 cm.
